Skylanders Giants ties your toy purchases to the content of your game. With the coming of the Wii U, expect lots more titles to adopt this business model. Activision’s line of Skylanders toys has been a huge success, outpacing the publisher’s expectations, and outselling other popular toy brands like Star Wars . With Skylanders Giants quickly approaching – the game launches on October 21st across all platforms with a later Wii U launch – Activision has released a new trailer showing off some of the new toys, as well as the many ways the game can be played. Alongside the console game you can play the Skylanders Cloud Patrol on iOS as well as the free browser-based Skylanders Universe online.
