Romney Power Team Dissects 2012 Together in Tampa

After a somewhat anticlimatic start to the Republican National Convention because of weather delays, Mitt Romney and his Boston-based power team hit the ground today in Tampa, Fla.,  and are ready to make up for lost time. In a rare public appearance together, Romney senior advisers Eric Fehrnstrom and Beth Myers, director of advertising Ashley O’Connor and pollster Neil Newhouse sat down together for an ABC News-Yahoo News! Breakfast, revealing what Mitt Romney really thinks about the ad wars and which blue states might, surprisingly, swing red. You can watch the next installment of an ABC News-Yahoo! News convention breakfast Tuesday, Sept. 4, HERE. The ad war waging in this year’s campaign has been expensive, brutal and, it turns out, irritating to the Republican nominee. Tampa, Florida (CNN) - As Hurricane Isaac approaches landfall, likely in Louisiana, Mitt Romney on Tuesday spoke with Gov. Bobby Jindal, and his campaign is preparing to post a relief donation option on its webpage, a Romney campaign official told CNN. The GOP presidential candidate, who is expected to achieve his party's presidential nomination this week, has been receiving daily updates on the storm, the official said. Romney communicated to Jindal that his campaign was "ready to help as much as we can," the official added, noting that resources are in place in the convention host city of Tampa, Florida, should a relief benefit event be organized. Isaac was initially projected to impact Tampa on Monday, and the Republican National Convention canceled official events that day. Isaac is expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Jindal had been scheduled to attend the GOP convention, but announced he would instead stay in Louisiana to monitor and deal with the storm.
