(Photo: Pacific Coast News) It's been more than three years since Rihanna and Chris Brown 's tumultuous breakup, which was spurred by Brown leaving the star bruised up in the L.A. streets the night before the '09 Grammys, but the incident is still stirring up drama. Following Rihanna's Oprah interview, in which she expressed her complicated feelings for Brown and the love she will always have for him despite his savage behavior, several people took to social media to ridicule Rihanna for apparently forgiving her attacker. But it was comic icon Joan Rivers whose jab got a reaction out of the pop star. Rivers, who has a reputation for pushing the envelope when it comes to mocking the topical, tweeted, "Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it's my turn to slap her." The off-the-cuff response didn't get by Rihanna, who called out Rivers in return: "@Joan_Rivers wow u really do get slow when you're old huh?" Not one to burn bridges or miss an opportunity for cross-promotion, River backpedaled a bit, saying, "Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS — Love to have you on [my show] Fashion Police !" As you'd expect, Rihanna has yet to take Rivers up on her offer.
