Evan Royster Will Lead The Redskins In Rushing In 2012

Royster Watch Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, Rosterwatch.com Nestled somewhere between the fan crush that fantasy columnists have for Roy Helu and the man crush that Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan has for Tim Hightower stands the truth that is second year RB Evan Royster. It has been Royster, not Helu, who has been taking snaps with the first team since Washington began training camp Thursday morning, while Hightower continues to recoup from his 7 month old ACL surgery. Helu has been playing with the second team, an indication that the staff doesn’t see him as an every or early down back. I have to admit, I’ve overlooked Royster. Helu dazzled with suprising burst and vision when he came on the scene last year, and he was the kind of “come from nowhere” player that the Trashman loves to plug and play. It was Royster though, who finished the season starting for the ‘Skins with a 113 yards on the ground and 52 in the air during Week 17 against the Eagles. The former high school lacrosse standout and Penn State all-time leading rusher looks like he’s taking that momentum into the 2012 season. And though Hightower projects to get the first crack at the starting job come game time, if he’s healthy, Royster could end up being the go to guy sooner than later. RIP, Neil Armstrong: Experience the Apollo 11 Moon landing for yourself with this site

We found out today that the world has lost one of our most important heroes: Neil Armstrong . On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first human being to ever step foot on the moon. It’s something that not many people can fathom or process, because of its magnitude. As we think about how far technology has come since 1969, it’s still amazing to me that we were sophisticated enough to pull off such an amazing feat. At 82, Neil Armstrong passed on, but will never be forgotten. Nor will Apollo 11, and its mission, for that matter. For the 40th anniversary of this magnificent flight, there was a site built called “ We Chose The Moon ” and it lets you “re-live” the entire mission step by step, word by word: As you go through the event, you’ll be able to watch gorgeous interactive videos and see amazing photography. Neil Armstrong, as well as NASA as an organization, stands for innovation and both are a reminder to dream big, because nothing is impossible. Here’s a statement from Armstrong’s family that sums up our feelings perfectly: For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink. ➤ We Chose the Moon
